Privacy Policy

Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how NanoEditor handles information when you use the D&D and fantasy RPG portrait generator, create an account, purchase a paid plan, or use one of the free image format converters.

Information We Process

Depending on how you use NanoEditor, we may process:

1. Google account information — Your name, email address, profile image, and account identifier when you sign in with Google.
2. Character generation details — The ancestry, class, appearance, equipment, mood, art style, and optional details you submit to create a portrait.
3. Generated portrait data — Provider task identifiers, generation status, credit usage, and the generated image for signed-in account history.
4. Credit and subscription records — Credit grants, credit consumption, refunds, orders, subscription status, and Stripe references needed to reconcile payments.
5. Technical and security data — Request timing, browser information, cookies, and limited request identifiers used to maintain sessions, enforce the guest trial, prevent abuse, and diagnose failures.
6. Analytics data — Page and product interaction events when analytics is enabled. We do not intentionally send complete character prompts or private image contents to analytics services.

Guest Portrait Trial

A guest may create one successful portrait without registering. NanoEditor uses a signed, HTTP-only cookie to remember whether the guest trial is pending or has been used. A failed provider task clears the pending trial so it can be attempted again.

The guest result is not added to an account history unless the user later generates while signed in.

Signed-In Portrait History

When you generate while signed in, NanoEditor stores the task and result needed to show your private portrait history. The product keeps the latest 20 account portrait records and may remove older terminal records and their stored image files automatically.

You can delete a completed or failed portrait from the portrait history page. Deletion removes the stored account record from active history and removes the corresponding NanoEditor-managed image object when one exists.

Browser-Based Format Converters

The six JPG, PNG, and WebP conversion tools process selected files inside your browser using browser image and canvas APIs. The files are not uploaded to NanoEditor for conversion.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

• authenticate accounts and maintain sessions;
• generate and deliver D&D and fantasy RPG portraits;
• provide private history, downloads, deletion, and credit balances;
• process payments and subscription changes;
• restore credits after qualifying generation failures;
• prevent duplicate guest trials, abuse, and unauthorized resource access;
• diagnose errors and improve product reliability;
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Service Providers

NanoEditor may share the minimum information needed with service providers that operate parts of the product, including:

• Google for account authentication;
• an external AI image provider for portrait generation;
• Cloudflare for hosting, networking, storage, and security;
• Stripe for checkout, billing, invoices, and subscription management;
• analytics or email providers when those features are enabled.

We do not sell personal information to advertisers.

Payment Information

Stripe processes card and billing information. NanoEditor does not store full payment card numbers. We retain Stripe identifiers, order details, amounts, currency, subscription state, and credit entitlements needed to provide and reconcile paid access.

Data Security

We use HTTPS, access controls, private account checks, signed cookies, and provider credentials stored outside the public codebase. No online system can guarantee absolute security, but we limit access and data exposure according to the function being provided.

Data Retention

Account, payment, and credit records are retained as needed to provide the service, prevent fraud, reconcile transactions, and meet legal obligations. Generated portrait history is limited as described above. Some payment or security records may remain after account or image deletion when retention is legally or operationally required.

Your Choices and Rights

You may:

• review and update profile information in account settings;
• view your credit and payment history;
• delete individual saved portraits;
• cancel an active subscription from the billing area when available;
• request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, subject to legal retention requirements.

Children

NanoEditor is not intended for children who are unable to consent to online services under applicable law. Do not submit personal information about a child through character descriptions or generated images.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the product, providers, or legal requirements change. The current version and update date will remain available on this page.

For privacy questions or data requests, use the support contact published on NanoEditor and include the email associated with your account. Do not send passwords, full card numbers, or other sensitive payment credentials.
